How WARDOGS Tower Codes Work

Capture towers, assemble the digits, pull the Hot Zone onto a building you can actually hold.

Tower Codes Hot Zone Pull

Tower codes are the most misunderstood WARDOGS mechanic and the closest thing this wiki has to a “codes” page that is not a scam list. They are not redeemable promo strings. They are a live puzzle inside the Control Zone that lets a squad move the Hot Zone. If you want free cash, you want how to make money. If you want to steal a match, stay here.

Numbers in this article come from Closed Alpha, the August closed beta, and community write-ups of those builds. Exact tower counts, hold times, and UI labels can change in Early Access. The idea — digits on towers, full code pulls the inner circle — is the part to learn.

What a tower code is

Inside the current 2×2 km zone you will find a small number of active towers (playtests clustered around two to five). Each tower has a terminal, usually not on the most exposed rooftop. Interacting with a terminal your faction controls reveals one digit of a sequence whose length matches the number of active towers. When someone enters the complete sequence at a terminal, the Hot Zone drags toward that tower and sits there for a period. Then digits reset and the race starts again.

A player in the Hot Zone counts as two for occupancy and earns boosted cash. Pulling that circle onto a tower you already sandbagged is how a twelve-person stack loses to eight people who can type.

How to hack a tower without donating it

  1. Identify active towers on the objective view. Grey landmarks that are outside the zone do not help this puzzle.
  2. Move as a squad. Clear stairs, windows, roof, and the vehicle road. One person on the terminal with nobody watching the stairwell is a highlight for the other faction.
  3. Hold interact. Confirm the digit and its position in the sequence. Digit three is useless if you call it as digit one.
  4. Type it in team chat immediately. Convention that worked in pubs: X 5 X or 3rd = 5. Update as more digits land (1 5 X).
  5. Leave a hold or rotate to the next tower. Do not AFK on the panel.

If the tower is already enemy-held, you are playing how to win, not a stealth game. Smoke, flash, and a cheap SMG from the loadout page often beat a 400-metre DMR duel on the spiral stairs.

The brute-force trick

You do not need every tower. If four towers are up and you know three digits, you can sit on your strongest terminal and try the missing slot: 5-7-1, 5-7-2, … through 5-7-0. Playtests gave a short cooldown between inputs. That cooldown is still faster than assaulting a fifth tower that has a Gepard covering the only road.

On five-tower maps the last-digit brute force is even more valuable because the missing site is usually the one everyone is already dying on. Call the known pattern. Assign one person to input. Everyone else holds the building so the pull actually matters.

After a successful pull

The Hot Zone moving is not the win. The next ticks are the win. Immediately:

  • Pack the inner circle with living bodies.
  • Bring medical. Double-count deaths are double-pain.
  • Watch for the other two factions to stop fighting each other and collapse on your tower. Three-team math says they should.
  • Restock ammo; Hot Zone fights chew boxes. See loadouts.
  • Do not chase the old circle. It is bait.

When the code resets, start the digit race again. A team that won one pull and then went back to rim camping will donate the next one.

What tower codes are not

  • Not a permanent number from a patch notes page.
  • Not a way to skip the $10,000 economy.
  • Not required to win — occupancy still works if you simply out-number the inner circle the honest way — but ignoring them is how you lose to a squad that did not ignore them.
  • Not something to buy from a website.
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common WARDOGS questions.

Is there a permanent WARDOGS tower code?

No. Digits are generated for the current match and the current active towers. Never reuse a number from a video.

What happens when I enter the full code?

In playtest builds the Hot Zone pulls toward the tower that submitted the sequence, so your hold starts counting double. Then digits reset.

Do I need every tower?

No. If you know all but one digit you can brute-force the last from a safe terminal. Call known digits in chat so anyone can finish it.

How many towers spawn?

Community reports from tests clustered around two to five active towers inside the Control Zone. Check your objective UI rather than this sentence.
