What WARDOGS actually is

WARDOGS is BULKHEAD and Team17's tactical all-out warfare FPS for Windows on Steam. Up to 100 players split across Lonestar, Valkyra, and Manticore contest a randomised 2×2 km Control Zone inside a much larger Eastern European sandbox. The team with the most bodies in the zone scores; first to 100 points wins. Cash starts at $10,000, persists between matches, and buys loadouts and vehicles every life. Read the beginner guide, then study tower codes and the weapon tier list.

Quick start

New to WARDOGS? Follow these steps before you spend your first $10,000.

  1. 1

Confirm your PC can run it

Check the system requirements against Steam: 16 GB RAM, GTX 1660 / RX 590 minimum, 50 GB storage, always-online with Easy Anti-Cheat.

  2. 2

Know the match before you spend

Read how to play: three factions, one 2×2 km Control Zone, scoring every 30 seconds, first team to 100 points.

  3. 3

    Plan the first $10,000

Cash persists and deaths cost kit. Use the loadout guide and budget tool so your opening rifle does not empty the wallet.

  4. 4

Learn Hot Zone and tower codes

Bodies in the Hot Zone count double. Tower codes let a squad pull that circle onto a fortified tower.

  5. 5

    Track Early Access, not rumours

Steam Early Access is 10 September 2026 at $39.99. Follow Early Access notes and the closed beta recap for what is actually confirmed.

FAQ

Wiki FAQ

Quick answers to the most common WARDOGS questions.

When does WARDOGS come out?

Steam Early Access for Windows is scheduled for 10 September 2026 at $39.99. Closed Beta 02 ran around 3–6 September 2026 for pre-orders and playtest grants. See Early Access.

Is WARDOGS a battle royale or extraction shooter?

No. It is a 100-player, three-team King of the Hill FPS. Matches end when a faction hits 100 Control Zone points, not when a circle wipes the server or a team extracts loot.

Does cash reset when I die?

Your account wallet persists between lives and matches. The kit you bought for that life is gone. Start with $10,000 once, then earn more through teamplay — details in how to make money.

Which languages does this wiki cover?

English, French, German, and Spanish. Steam lists more interface languages for the game client itself, with full audio in English.

What are the three factions?

Lonestar, Valkyra, and Manticore are the three teams. In current builds they play the same; the choice is identity, starter rifle, and which shirt you are shooting.

Are there redeemable WARDOGS codes?

There are no Steam promo codes to type for free cash. In a match, tower codes are a digit puzzle that moves the Hot Zone. Do not reuse a number from a video.

Does WARDOGS have classes?

No locked class select. Six XP tracks — Assault, Medic, Recon, Support, Driver, Pilot — level from the work you do. Mix gear in one life. See classes and building for FOBs.

Ready for your first WARDOGS match?

Start with the beginner guide, then lock in a cheap loadout and learn how tower codes pull the Hot Zone. Steam Early Access is scheduled for 10 September 2026.
