WARDOGS Guides Hub
Field manuals for the 100-player Control Zone FPS — from your first $10,000 to a Hot Zone hold.
This WARDOGS Guides Hub is the map of every walkthrough on the wiki. BULKHEAD’s tactical shooter does not hold your hand: there is no locked class, no refill-on-death wallet, and no single “correct” way to take a 2×2 km Control Zone. The pages below exist because the August closed beta and the September playtests showed the same player questions over and over — how scoring actually ticks, why a cheap rifle beats a tank on day one, and how tower codes move the Hot Zone.
Start here if you have not spawned yet
Read the getting started guide before you spend the $10,000 every account receives once. That page covers faction pick, the vendor, the first deploy, what happens when you die, and why a parachute and a revive tool pay for themselves. Pair it with how to play so you understand the 30-second occupancy clock and the first-to-100 win condition. If your PC is the open question, jump to system requirements and compare Steam’s GTX 1660 / RX 590 minimum against what you actually own.
WARDOGS is not a battle royale and not an extraction raid. You are one body among up to 100, split across Lonestar, Valkyra, and Manticore. Kills help, but they are not the scoreboard that ends the match. Standing in the zone with teammates is. Everything else on this hub — money, vehicles, maps, keybinds — exists to keep you in that circle more often than the other two shirts.
Money, kit, and the cost of a bad life
The persistent wallet is the mechanic that turns a familiar shooter into a decision game. How to make money explains revives, transport runs, zone ticks, tips, and bribes. Loadouts and the budget tool show how to spend the opening bankroll without buying a main battle tank you cannot afford to lose. When you are ready to argue about rifles, open the weapon tier list and remember that value per dollar beats raw damage in a game where ammo boxes have their own price tags.
Vehicles are logistics first and firepower second. A cheap Bobcat that delivers three teammates to the zone can out-earn a Havoc that gets farmed by a Gepard. The vehicle tier list ranks that trade. Maps covers Kolchia’s 256 km² sandbox, randomised Control Zones, destruction, and why approach routes matter as much as the 4 km² you actually score in.
Win conditions and the pages people skip
How to win is the occupancy and Hot Zone brief: double-count bodies, tower pulls, FOB discipline, and why camping a hill with a DMR can lose a match you “won” on the kill feed. Building is the FOB, hammer, and four-supply loop that supports that hold — it is not a second objective. Classes explains the six XP tracks (Assault, Medic, Recon, Support, Driver, Pilot) so you stop looking for a class select that does not exist. Tower codes is the digit puzzle inside the zone — there is no permanent code to copy from a stream. Controls records what the August beta actually rebound, plus the honest note that controller support is still limited. If the client will not boot, troubleshooting covers error 1147405308, Easy Anti-Cheat, and launch queues.
For dates and price, stay on Early Access and the closed beta recap. Steam lists 10 September 2026 at $39.99 for the base game. Do not treat a YouTube thumbnail as a patch note.
How to use this wiki during a live match
Keep three tabs: this hub, codes, and tools. Before a life, price the kit. During a life, play the zone and call tower digits in team chat. After a death, do not revenge-buy the same expensive rifle unless the wallet can eat another loss. The faction pages are identity and starter-rifle notes, not hidden power rankings — current builds treat the three teams as equal.
Official sources for anything that can still move: the Steam store page, BULKHEAD’s YouTube, and @WARDOGS. This wiki is unofficial. When a beta number and a Steam number disagree, Steam wins.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common WARDOGS questions.
Which WARDOGS guide should I read first?
Start with getting started, then how to play. Add system requirements if you have not confirmed 16 GB RAM and a GTX 1660-class GPU.
Do these guides assume Early Access has launched?
No. Steam Early Access is scheduled for 10 September 2026. Numbers from Closed Alpha and the August beta are labelled as playtest data and can change.
